The Tang dynasty had an enormous contribution when the innovations are concerned. This dynasty witnessed the major economic developments (Bentley 2015). The Song dynasty was at par with the Tang. The armies from both the dynasties built the way to develop agricultural productivity. The excessive food supplies made people advanced their way into the industrial and technological interests (Bentley 2015). Tang dynasty tried their hands in Porcelain and the usage of the same replaced the pottery. The Tang and Song dynasty invented some new technological power. Gunpowder was one of them. Previously, Chinese mariners used the combined products of sulphur, saltpeter, arsenic, and charcoal (Bentley 2015). Soon, they invented that this combination would not bring any good.
